Why Used Clothing?

I love shopping at the thrift store.  You know the kind, the goodwill store or some mildly
trendy “Vintage clothing shop” near some university.  You get great stuff for a fraction
of the price new.  Best of all, you can pick up all kinds of cheap stuff.

I got my all time favorite Jacket and shirt from a thrift store in Columbus Ohio.  The
Jacket was four bucks and the shirt was ninety-nine cents.  You can get fashionable
items that are unique for a whole lot less money at thrift shops around the world.

Cotton is a terrible crop to produce from an environmental point of view.  Approximately
25% of all water used for irrigation on all crops (edible and not) are used for cotton.
Also a huge amount of petroleum, pesticides and herbicides go into cotton.  Buying
used clothing helps the planet and keeps you in style.
